The Original Stick Chair is based upon the classic British Shooting Stick, made popular in the UK for hiking and hunting. After inheriting his Father’s shooting stick, the company founder, Malcolm Bull, quickly saw its limitations and redesigned it to be collapsible for easy carrying and storage and self-assembling for quick use. The handles of the Original Stick Chair fold down to form the seat. They are made entirely of cast aluminum and riveted to a cast aluminum base that is bolted to the aluminum shaft.
Our optional padded seat is made of Neoprene and is designed to slip over each of the handles to provide a comfortable grip when walking and an extra layer of comfort when you are resting on the seat.
READY FOR ANYTHING
The foot section of the Original Stick Chair is also cast aluminum. The aluminum shaft is bolted directly to the foot section composed of a kick plate and spike. The kick plate is designed to be used on soft surfaces like grass, to prevent the spike from penetrating too far.
Our newly designed rubber tip covers the spike nearly entirely and provides a stable and non-slip base 1½” wide for use on hard surfaces. Nearly twice the weight of the previous tip design, the new rubber tip will hold up on any hard surface.
