We have received quite a few questions as of late regarding travelling with the Stick Chair and wanted to pass on our findings, as well as our clients.
Most major North American Airlines provide an allowance for assisting devices, and the Original Stick Chair does indeed fall into this category. As such and depending on which airline, the Stick Chair can be checked at the gate as a mobility-assitive device at no extra charge for the traveler, and does not count as your carry-on item – it is exempt. This has been a big relief to some our clients. We recommend calling your airline to confirm just to be sure as policies vary from airline to airline.
Additionally, many places that do not allow seating, such as Disney World/Land, also have provisions for mobility devices and have received confirmation from clients that the Stick Chair was allowed to be brought into the property to be used there as well.
A Stick Chair that doubles as a walking aid and a portable seat, has bonus advantages you may not have considered! Just another reason to try The Original Stick Chair today!
